If you are looking to protect a home or another building you can draw the symbol on windows, doors, walls, ceilings, and floors.

Balance

You can use the power symbol to balance and cleanse your chakras. You can also use this symbol anytime you are working with energy and you feel off-balanced or not quite right to find balance and harmony again.

Cleansing

You can also use this symbol for the purpose of cleansing. For instance, you can draw it on or visualize it on things like yourself, crystals, or decks to cleanse them of all negative energies.

The activation of this symbol is the same as all symbols – you need to visualize it or physically draw it.

What Can You Do With Sei He Ki?

Many doctors, even traditional western-based medicine, believe that illnesses can be affected by a person’s mental and emotional state.

The Distance Symbol – Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen

What is The Meaning of Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen?

This is the distance symbol. In reiki, distance is not an issue. You do not need to be with someone to heal them or work reiki on them for another purpose.

In Western Reiki this means distance and it is used to do absentee reiki across a great distance. In traditional Reiki, it means “having no present, past or future.”

How Do You Activate Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen?

Activation is similar to the others but a little different due to you sending the energy across time and space.

You will need to say or think about the symbol to begin the activation process. Next, you will need to say, think about or write down the name of the person you are trying to provide reiki energy to.

If you choose to write this down, write it on a small piece of paper and hold it between both of your hands. Finally, you will need to draw or visualize the symbol.

What Can You Do With Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen?

Typically you are going to use this symbol with a combination of

other symbols. Since the point of the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is just to establish a connection through distance, you will be using other symbols to do things such as heal, give strength, protect another person or cleanse a person or place of negative energies.

Since You Can Practice Over a Distance, Do You Need Person From The Person You Are Sending The Energy To?

The short answer is no. In reiki, you are only sending positive and healing energy so technically you do not actually need anyone’s permission.

You can send reiki energy to anyone at any time. However, for the most part, it is only polite to inform someone what you are planning to do and why.

It will, of course, be up to you on how you handle this.

There will be some situations where you might not tell someone because even though you only have the best of intentions, you feel like informing them might do more harm than good.

Can I Self-Heal?

Many people are interested in Reiki because they want to give back and help others. Although, this is what the majority of people use Reiki for that does not mean you can not heal yourself.

You can participate in self-healing just as easily as when you are working on someone else.

In fact, it is healthy to help yourself as much as you help others. The healthier you are, the more effective you can be in assisting other people.

Why do people feel warm when giving or receiving a reiki treatment?

When people ask how can you tell if Reiki is working – one of the signs is that the practitioner’s hands may feel warm.

The person performing reiki may feel the heat coming off of their hands or in that general area of their body.

The person who is being worked on may also feel the parts of their body that are being focused on warming up.

How Long Does It Take For Reiki To Work?

Although this answer can depend upon what you are using reiki for as well as the severity or complexity of the problem.

Generally, it takes at least 3 – 5 treatments spread out over weeks to see improvement. Now that is usually just for healing.
